iFlow Yoga is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School. Successful graduates of this program can become Yoga Alliance Registered 200 Hour Yoga Teachers.
Amy Pastore presents The iFlow Yoga 200-Hour Teacher Training Weekday Program in Ridgewood, NJ. Developed and refined for well over a decade, this Program draws from Amy’s extensive teaching experience, delivered from her desire to pass on the gift of teaching yoga in a way that is genuine, intelligent and creative. Dedicated students who complete the course requirements can become Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructors in the iFlow Yoga Method.
Amy's approach to teaching yoga is holistic and this Program represents a synthesis of the many styles and lineages of yoga which she has studied. Along the way she will encourage you to take what works and leave behind what does not. iFlow Yoga is rooted on the belief that each of us has inherent inspiration, intelligence and intuition. Amy leads this Program in a way that allows room for individual expression. Her goal is to pass on the skills and techniques required for the role and instill confidence to make you the most authentic yoga teacher possible.
Amy has designed this Program to provide each student with significant practice teaching opportunities - asana, pranayama and meditation - with constructive feedback from her and your fellow trainees. Another important aspect of this training is experiencing how practicing yoga together creates a unique sense of community. To foster this, you will also work collaboratively with your TT group to plan, develop and deliver a class together. You will leave this program ready to teach.
The first half of the teacher training program represents the foundational 100 hours of training essential to gain a deeper understanding and embodiment of the iFlow Yoga method. Before we can teach we must experience the teachings ourselves or we'll have nothing authentic to share. Through this module you will deepen your own personal practice in asana, pranayama, meditation, mantras & mudras. Read and relate the Yoga Sutras and Baghavad Gita to your own life. Look at human anatomy and understand how it informs the way we align ourselves on the mat. Explore subtle anatomy through the Chakra system and the Koshas. This portion of study is the heart of the iFlow Yoga curriculum.
The second half of the program is all about getting off your mat and stepping into the teaching role. Learn how to effectively plan and teach Vinyasa Yoga through the effective use of language, the iFlow alignment elements, hands on assists and pose demonstration. Students will also receive training on how to design and lead a meditation and restorative yoga classes as well. In this program you will have several teaching opportunities within the TT group, with constructive feedback from Amy and the TT group. By the end of this training you will be confidently planning and teaching your own yoga classes.
This portion of the 200-hour TT is the most challenging aspect for most students but also the most rewarding. This is where the transformation happens from yoga practioner to Yoga Teacher.
This program takes place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:30am until 2:30pm on the following dates:
This represents 160 hours of contact study with 40 hours of practice and self-study between each week to comprise the 200-hour teacher training program.
When I started the iFlow 200 Hour Teacher Training program, I went into it with an open mind. I had been having a year full of struggles & heartache and began to lose myself. I was hoping that deepening my yoga practice would help me get back on track. What I got out of the program was more than I could have ever expected. With two out of this world teachers, Amy and Freddy Pastore, each day spent with them was an amazing day full of knowledge & love. They never failed to inspire me, along with my other classmates (who are now my yogi sisters for life). The iFlow 200 Hour program has made such a positive impact on my life, and has truly left me feeling enriched, inspired and craving more! In the beginning I expected some good workouts and a better understanding of yoga in general, but Amy has provided me with so much more than that. I feel strong, inspired, confident, and have discovered a peace within myself that I haven't felt in a long time. I cannot wait to be able to share all I've learned with others.Jessica Kenny - New Jersey, USA 200 Hour Teacher Training, Down Dog House
